The forums seem dead, so it seems to be that you're pretty much on your own to work it out, which is a shame, as this seems like a nice intro to decent lighting control.

What is the reason for using artnet vs straight DMX? It seems to me (with the caveat that I know little about artnet) that this adds a unneeded layer of complexity.ģ.
